About the Ahmadiyya Muslim Medical Association (AMMA) USA
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Medical Association (AMMA) USA is a professional medical organization functioning under the auspices of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA., with Ameer Jamaat USA as its patron.
Our members include medical, dental, and podiatric physicians, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, paramedics, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, certified nursing assistants, chiropractors, physical, occupational, and speech therapists, functional, holistic, and homeopathic medicine doctors, acupuncturists, midwives, doulas, dieticians, and technologists in various healthcare areas. Our members also include Information technology and management personnel working in healthcare.
AMMA members serve and function under the instructions and guidance of Khaliftul Masih (aba). Our members provide their time, expertise, services, and funds globally and work alongside other nonprofit charitable organizations.
The Holy Quran instructs Muslims to serve humanity and fulfill the needs of those suffering or deprived. Islam requires Muslims to be selfless and consumed by love for others; therefore, AMMA members must be ready to make sacrifices for the sake of the peace and well-being of other people.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) spent his entire life serving humanity and striving to inculcate the same spirit of sympathy for others within his followers. Inspired by the examples of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him), the men and women of AMMA are motivated to act for the sanctity of the healthcare profession and the Islamic concept of humanity and social service.

These precious words of the Promised Messiah (as) serve as our guiding light and are to remain etched in our hearts and minds at all times.
We are graciously reminded by Khalifatul Masih V, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba), that “through Allah’s Grace and Mercy alone, we have been blessed to acquire knowledge and proficiency to help serve humanity in a way that others cannot. Our goal is to utilize our knowledge and skills for the sake of alleviating the suffering of humanity and fulfilling the needs of humanity. As health professionals of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, we aim to unite our efforts in service to humanity worldwide. We also mentor those needing educational guidance and support toward their health professional goals. We strive towards robust philanthropic efforts and vie with one another in good works within our national and worldwide communities. Our engagement includes educational, social, and professional activities. We serve as resources for one another in our efforts to collect and provide for medical missions abroad.
In addition to volunteering and serving international hospitals, we engage with external resources creating a diverse network to provide the best healthcare services to those in need. Our members have helped fund and build facilities while also serving as the healthcare infrastructure and educators for the local volunteers. We are highly visible in volunteering our services during Jamaat events, and our annual AMMA conference provides opportunities for new knowledge, innovation, networking, mentorship, and collaboration.
Our goal as an organization is to continue to follow Khalifatul Masih’s guidance and strive to act on every command and wish of Huzoor (aba). May Allah help us succeed as an organization in this endeavor.
